What we watch

Four signals, one grading sheet

Every number below is live in the system today — not a promise on a roadmap.

Prices
Context, not just quotesICE Arabica · Cocoa · USD/BRL
Every price arrives with its 24h and 30-day move and its position in the 52-week range — so "335.9¢" reads as "52nd percentile of its year", not a naked number.
Weather
Origins vs 7-year normals9 GPS points · 4 producing regions
Raw millimetres lie. We compare each week's rain to the seasonal normal — which is how the system flagged Minas Gerais at 1978% of normal during harvest, the same week the professionals did.
Auctions
A structured COE database196 lots and counting · 10 origins tracked daily
Farm, variety, process, score, final bid, buyer — every Cup of Excellence adjudication captured as data, with new results flagged the morning they land. Nobody else publishes this as a database.
Press
Bias-tagged industry news8 sources, ranked by relevance
When an importer who sells coffee tells you to "book before September", we pass it on — labelled as an interested source. Culture pieces get filtered out; market signal gets through.

FAQ

Fair questions

Importers already send me free market reports. Why pay you?
Because they sell coffee and we don't. Importer analysis is often excellent — we read it too, and pass it on — but when a seller tells you it's time to buy, that's a labelled, interested opinion. BeanMonitor is daily instead of biweekly, structured data instead of PDF prose, and has no position in your purchase.
Where does the data come from?
Exchange price feeds (indicative), Open-Meteo weather models compared against 2019-2025 normals, the public results pages of the Alliance for Coffee Excellence, and the RSS feeds of eight industry publications. Sources are named at the bottom of every brief.
Is the brief actually written in my language?
Yes — written, not translated. Each language edition is generated directly from the day's data, so a Korean subscriber reads native Korean, not machine-translated English. English and French ship today; other languages activate as subscribers request them.
How is AI used, and can I trust it?
The AI writes the narrative; it doesn't invent the facts. All numbers come from the collected data, the analyst operates under standing interpretation rules (currency direction, weather vs seasonal normals, source bias), and a human editor reviews output and tightens the rules whenever anything reads wrong. Every brief says it is AI-generated — verify before you trade.
What if it's not for me?
14-day Pro trial without a card, then a 30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. Cancel in two clicks. The free weekly brief stays free forever.
What's next on the roadmap?
Same engine, adjacent crises: a matcha monitor (the shortage is reshaping café menus) and a cacao monitor for bean-to-bar makers, plus the dashboard, API and MCP access for Team. Founding subscribers get each new vertical first.
Do you sell coffee, take commissions, or trade?
No, no, and no. No coffee sales, no affiliate commissions on lots or gear, no positions. One clearly-labelled sponsor slot is the only commercial relationship, and it never touches the analysis. This is not financial advice.
